WulfPack Gold League Div 2 Power Rankings
Since you guys might not know me, i’m mossieee from Dog Appreciator Club. I’m an ex-semipro dota 2 player who peaked in the 99th point something percentile (top 1% xd). I’ve recently taken up LoL and am in my first comp season ever! I have a ton of experience making shitty content for leagues I play in. I thought it’d be a fun idea to list my personal power rankings going into Week 3. I wanted to do Division 1 too originally, but I’d rather focus on our division and maybe do another post for Div 1 in the future (depending upon reception). This is independent of the league standings that I’ve taken the liberty to list below and it is heavily biased from my perspective. We played Team Angry Primates in Week 1 and Coinflip in Week 2, so the results of those games will likely impact the rankings more than anything else.
Team Records as of 9/27/2020 are below >
Royal Sins (4–1)
Rawr Esq (2–1)
The Narcos (2–1)
Coinflip (3–2)
CCG Sapphire (3–3)
Team Angry Primates (3–3)
Dog Appreciator Club (1–4)
Dream Perfect Regime (1–4)

Coming in at number 8 is Dream Perfect Regime. They’re a unique team in that they actually have 0 substitutes on their roster. They played “The Narcos” this week and lost 2–1 and they were unfortunate enough to be the first victims of Royal Sins Gaming™. If you do yourself the favor of looking at the #game-screenshots channel in the discord, you can find the post game scoreboards from their recent battles. They appear to be drafting in a somewhat one dimensional way right now. “yg secret weapon” is their win condition in most of these drafts and is a big Katarina fan.

The key to beating this team appears to be just banning out their Kat pick, the one win they secured was with the Katarina in game 1 of their recent series against The Narcos. It’s worthy to note that their bot lane is drafting unconventionally and not succeeding. They’re using supports like Alistar, Taric, and Janna who are all far from meta currently. Special shoutout for this team goes to their toplaner “blinkdiff” who seems to be their most consistent player at the moment.

This next one might come as a surprise but I have Angry Primates Gaming in this slot. Obviously, with a 3–3 record they appear to be a pretty solid team. They’re coming off of a 1–2 loss to Rawr Esq, which is less meaningful than it looks because both teams FF’d a game and made it a BO1. The main reason I have them in #7 instead of my team is because of their drafting issues. They’re using some really unconventional picks in the jungle — namely Amumu — which in their most recent series went 1–10. Our 1–2 loss to them felt like it was primarily a result of us losing to ourselves. We stomped game 1, got ahead in game 2 and threw, and then mental boomed in game 3. The most notable thing about this team is their bot lane duo, who gave my team tons of issues in games 2 and 3. Special shoutout to their ADC “Phantom Lotus” who convinced my bot lane that Varus is a broken champ after going 11–4–11 in game 3.

Dog Appreciator Club. Our team has been in the midst of some roster shuffling as well as role shuffling throughout the first few weeks of the season. Last Saturday we had to use a standin that we’d only played with before once and unfortunately took a 2–0 loss to Coinflip. I had to flex from Jungle to Mid and made some silly mistakes so it was a bad situation all around. We’ll be back to full strength next week and hungry for a win so even if I was unbiased, i wouldn’t overlook us.

Moving onwards, we reach Coinflip. This team while having a better record than CCG Sapphire (3–2 to 3–3) is ranked a little lower. Main reason for that is because CCG Sapphire beat them 2–1 in week 1. They looked pretty solid yesterday in our game. Quite frankly, having picked up mid like 3 days in advance, their mid laner didn’t look or feel very special to me. They seem to win via their top laner or ADC and stick their mid onto champs like Orianna or Ziggs. Nothing wrong with that play style, just a note. Their jungler “2K Spiel” who is one of their subs popped off in game 1 on Kayn. If you look at the scoreboard you can see both him and Aphelios had a huge scoreline, but Kayn and Aatrox hard carried that early game until Aphelios came online. Game 2 it felt like we lost more to ourselves than them so I have less notes on that. They really love running enchanter supports, so that’s something to keep in mind for teams that are scheduled to run into Coinflip.

Rawr: ESQ — Similar situation here, need more data before I can tell how good they are. Really odd stuff that they’re missing a series and also turned their series this weekend into a BO1. Not gonna hate because scheduling stuff is kinda hard sometimes, but i’d invest into some more subs guys.
#3-4
The Narcos(?) — This team faced off against DPR last week as I mentioned earlier and won 2–1. They still haven’t played their week 1 matchup in Rawr Esq so really hard to tell how good they are. They’re technically 2–1 with their most recent series. I don’t have a ton to write about with this team, play your games. They appear to be making great use of the #banter channel, so yeah lol.

CCG Sapphire. Honestly, I don’t know what their name actually means…clarification would be appreciated. This is another team with just a 5 man roster, fielding 0 subs. Obviously this is going to be a good and a bad thing. If you only ever play with your 5,(hopefully) you’ll develop more team synergy. If you don’t have any subs then theoretically preparing for your team’s draft is a little easier. I think the player that stands out for me in this roster is their mid laner “endowed”. He’s recently been spamming Ahri but he played Kindred mid multiples times so far this season and keeps popping off with it. He went 11–2–7 in their game 3 against Royal Sins, and 16–2–3 on it in game 1 against Coin Flip. Very cool off-meta pick and i’m looking forward to seeing what else they can pull out. This team is very solid and has a ton of potential, especially given the champs they’re drafting.

Royal Sins is in my number one spot heading into week 3. This is an obvious choice, they’re currently 4–1 and the best team in division 2 statistically. However, we’re only a couple weeks into the season and stats don’t mean everything. They played Dream Regime week 1 and that team has a lot of growing to do as a group. They played Sapphire and were met with a pretty good fight, so they aren’t invincible. I’m really curious to see what happens next week for these guys. This team appears to really favor champs like Kayn and Renekton, so be ready to brawl them. I believe they’re also one of the only teams to run Swain, who is an upcoming champ in meta. Special shoutout goes to “RS BlackHawrt” for his relationship with Renekton. I am also a Renekton appreciator and will never be able to convince my team that he’s the sickest champ in league of legends. (Even though he definitely is!)
